Maserati MC20 Cielo: From every angle

CAR Announced just a few weeks after the launch of the coupe, the spider version of the Maserati MC20 supercar is finally unveiled in all its beauty.

We had also recently learned that it would have a name as poetic as it is well indicated: the Cielo, or sky in Italian, for those who have not made the connection. The sky can be appreciated in all circumstances, because the glass roof – electrically retractable in 12 seconds – contains liquid crystals to make it opaque or completely transparent at the touch of a button.

With 1,540 kilos on the scale, the Cielo is barely 40 kilos heavier than the MC20 coupe. The 630 hp of the 3.0-liter V6 therefore only needs an additional tenth of a second to shoot down the 0-100 km/h (3 seconds against 2.9), and take the car beyond 320 km/h.

We leave you to judge, but we find the MC20 Cielo to be a true aesthetic marvel. And we must also be very satisfied at Maserati, as evidenced by the huge trident that sits proudly on the rear hood.

The price is about 265.400€.
